Production Manager at Urban Crescent Furniture Ltd

Role Overview:

• Urban Crescent is seeking a highly accountable and quality Driven Production Manager to oversee furniture production from concept to completion. This role is not just about meeting deadlines it’s about upholding craftsmanship, reducing waste, and ensuring every piece that leaves our workshop protects our brand’s premium reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

• Supervise day-to-day production activities, ensuring high-quality execution, timeliness, and adherence to design specifications.

Workforce & Workflow Management:

• Assign daily tasks to artisans and technicians. Monitor performance, resolve inefficiencies, and ensure a disciplined, productive atmosphere.

Documentation & Tracking:

• Maintain accurate production records, including daily job cards, material usage, and production timelines. Submit weekly reports to the MD

Quality Control Enforcement:

• Implement and enforce Urban Crescent’s two-stage QC process, ensuring flaws are caught early and corrected before dispatch.

Material Management:

• Work with Procurement to anticipate and request materials in advance. Minimize wastage and flag low-quality deliveries immediately.

Problem Solving & Escalation:

• Troubleshoot production delays, machine issues, or personnel conflicts. Escalate critical issues promptly.

Collaboration with Sales & Logistics:

• Coordinate with Sales to understand client needs, and with Logistics to ensure timely delivery of completed items.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in furniture or light manufacturing in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven ability to lead teams, enforce standards, and meet production deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors or excuses.
• Must be able to document production work daily and report weekly.
• Familiarity with upholstery, woodwork, foam cutting, finishing techniques is a plus.
• Basic proficiency in Excel or Zoho Projects is preferred.
