Job Brief

• Responsible for the smooth running of the entire IT infrastructure of the Agency. The role also entails the supervision, implementation, and maintenance of the Agency’s end-user computing needs.
• The successful candidate will have advanced skills, a proven professional experience, and a detailed knowledge of industry’s best practice processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage information technology and computer systems of the Agency.
• Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.   
• Manage the training, coaching and performance of IT support staff.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in good time.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a core ICT related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering etc.).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role, or 7 years’ experience in a similar role in addition to a master’s degree in a core ICT related discipline (e.g., computer science, computer engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, information technology, information systems, software engineering etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Expertise in data center management and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
• Team management skills.
• Relevant professional experience and certification is an added advantage.

Remuneration
Remuneration is subject to prevailing compensation for Kaduna State Civil Servants for Grade Levels 12-14 depending on the successful candidates’ qualifications and years of experience.
