Job Objectives
Unit Head, Commercial Services

• Provide commercial, contractual and financial management expertise to ensure business optimises value for money from contracts with suppliers/third parties and that these contracts remain aligned to business needs
• Oversee the definition and implementation of sourcing strategies and procurement policies designed to standardise and/or centralise purchasing activity

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial engagements with third party suppliers
• Provide commercial support for negotiation of new/ renewed contracts
• Ensure the management of supplier contracts through their lifecycle
• Oversee negotiations leading to the issue and renewal of all technology contracts
• Work with clients and business units to define
• Service Level Agreements in contracts
• Ensure that business end user optimises value for money from contracts with third parties
• Ensure services and invoices are consistent with contract terms
• Oversee the development of a quality-driven preferred supplier list
• Facilitate the selection of appropriate sourcing options
• Ensure delivery of quality solutions at a competitive price
• Oversee management and negotiation of contracts leading to the issue and renewal of all technology related contracts
• Develop and maintain a quality-driven preferred supplier list
• Ensure coordination between Strategy & Architecture, Solution
• Delivery and Infrastructure Engineering, and Service Delivery Management and Operations in terms of supplier relationships to deliver cost reduction and maximum value from key third party contracts

Specification/Qualification

Educational Qualification  
Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related areas or a Degree in Law

Professional Qualification
Possession of the following certifications is recommended: CIPS, ITIL
