Job Summary

• The Concept Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriting Executive to join our Credit Risk/Underwriting team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of customers, reviewing credit applications, ensuring compliance with credit policies and KYC requirements, and supporting sound credit decision-making to mitigate the company's overall credit risk.

Key Responsibilities
Credit Assessment & Analysis:

• Review and assess the creditworthiness of potential customers based on established risk criteria.
• Analyze financial and quantitative information to support objective credit decisions.
• Review credit applications and identify deviations from the company's credit policy.
• Highlight quality assurance issues in credit proposals received from business areas.

Credit Policy & Quality Assurance:

• Communicate required amendments to credit applications to the relevant business teams.
• Identify and communicate credit concerns and quality assurance issues for resolution.
• Ensure credit proposals meet the required standards before approval.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure all required credit approvals, KYC documentation, and supporting documents are complete and properly executed.
• Conduct credit searches using relevant credit bureau databases.
• Conduct email verification and prepare Transaction Consummation Reports.
• Review transactions against the final checklist and ensure all requirements are met before approval.

Credit Risk Support:

• Support loan covenant monitoring and risk-rating activities.
• Assist with audit preparation and recovery activities as assigned.
• Provide accurate and timely reports to support credit risk oversight.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in credit analysis, underwriting, credit risk, or financial services.
• Strong ability to analyze financial and quantitative information.
• Good understanding of credit assessment and risk evaluation principles.
• Ability to identify deviations from credit policies and assess quality assurance issues.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
• Good knowledge of KYC and credit documentation requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with Credit & Risk, Sales, Legal, Audit, and other relevant teams.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
