    Underwater Maintenance Services Foreman – FOT

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff: develops and oversees employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control;.
    • Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work: prioritizes and schedules work activities in order to meet objectives; ensures that subordinates have the proper resources needed to complete the assigned work
    • Supervises maintenance, repair, and construction projects: coordinates project activities with other departments; discusses project plans with work crews and contractors; orders and schedules delivery of materials; supervises equipment operation and maintenance; and submits project updates and status reports as requested.
    • Determines equipment, tools, and supplies needed to conduct work activities: ensures availability of adequate parts and materials to conduct work activities; and requests for new or replacement materials as required.
    • Supervises work safety: monitors adherence to safety procedures, protocols, and use of safety equipment and protective gear; identifies and corrects hazards and non-compliance; conducts safety meetings; supervises set-up of work zones and placement of warning signs and barricades; responds to accidents; and completes incident reports.
    • Prepares operational and statistical reports of projects: submits records and reports to local, state and federal authorities as required; and establishes and maintains related files.
    • Assures completion of assigned maintenance and repair tasks by monitoring work progress, inspecting work performance and providing corrections of any deficiencies as necessary,
    • Defines or adopts task lists that have the work executed at As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP)
    • Embed task risk assessment and required risk mitigation in the workplace, including required PPE consulting the permit-issuing body
    • Support teams in developing the work scope, milestone plans & resource mobilization plan.
    • Collaborate and interface with Discipline Maintenance Technicians to finalize the scope of work, work pack manpower optimization, and flawless work pack planning with the collaboration of Activity Owners, Operations team, Execution team, and all relevant parties.
    • Evaluate various options for repair & replacement and chooses the optimal one in relation to life cycle costs, reliability, and safety.
    • Ensure all Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Hot-work Risk Assessment (HRA), and any other relevant work procedures (heavy lifting, complex and high-risk maintenance activities, etc.) are reviewed and analyzed to be in accordance with Company’s quality and safety requirement standard.

    Key Interfaces

    • Vessel Crew, Jetty Marshals, Beach Master, Marine Supervisor, HSE Representative, Material Warehouse, Asset planner and scheduler,
    • Terminal superintendent
    • Terminal HSE

    Work Cycle

    • The work location shall be shallow Offshores/Swamp-field based accessible via the Helicopter, as business demands.
    • The job activity period is daily on 12-hour (7am to7pm) routine over a 14-day cycle period.
    • Personnel shall manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers, as approved by Client.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent plus 5 years’ hands on experience in marine vessel/construction rigging/equipment maintenance
    • Senior Secondary school Certificate/ WASC plus 10 years’ hands on experience in marine vessel/construction rigging/equipment maintenance can be considered
    • Physically fit and Capable of working at Sea.
    • Personnel should be from Ogulagha community, in line with External Relations commitment to host community.
