UI / UX Engineer at Sankore Global

About the Role

• The UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered interfaces and experiences for our various digital products and platforms.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to understand user requirements and translate them into visually appealing and functional designs.
• Your role will be instrumental in enhancing the user experience and driving engagement with the firm's investment products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and user interviews to gain insights into user behaviors, preferences, and needs.
• Analyze and interpret research findings to inform design decisions and recommend user-centered solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define user personas, user journeys, and user flows.
• Create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for our digital products and platforms, including websites, applications, and dashboards.
• Ensure consistency in visual design elements, typography, and branding across all digital touchpoints.
• Design and optimize user experiences to improve usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction.
• Collaborate with development team to ensure seamless integration of design elements and technical feasibility.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results
• Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and agile development processes
• Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to non-design stakeholders
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in the financial services or investment industry
• Proficiency in design software such as  Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and Figjam.
• Understanding of Design System building and management
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and showcasing a range of UI/UX design projects.
• Solid understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing techniques. 
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first design approach.
• Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on UI/UX design
• Excellent visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and composition.
