Truck Mechanic at Releaf

Role Summary

• The Truck Mechanic will maintain and repair Releaf's trucks, buses and other heavy diesel vehicles.
• He/She will carry out diagnostics on both last mile and heavy duty vehicles and repair brakes, suspension and steering.
• You will perform tasks from routine services to complete engine rebuilds.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
• Repair malfunctioning components,
• Dismantling engines and checking parts, retrofit engines,
• Change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn-out parts and change hydraulic fluids.
• Conduct test drives, and adjust controls and systems to verify vehicle's condition
• Assess and determine necessary spare parts inventory needed
• Maintaining records of spare parts inventory and serviced vehicles.

Role Requirements

• A Trade Test Certificate in any related field may be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining HOWO Trucks
• Good use of Microsoft Office and data entry and reporting skills is a must.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and write in English Language.
• Certificate of graduation after the completion of apprenticeship required.
• Attention to detail is essential.
