    Treasury Manager, Assets and Liability Management

    Description

    • Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Treasury Manager- Assets and Liability Management who will be responsible for processing DCP import finance transactions, reconciling vendor accounts, and collating FX obligations.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Compile and submit the Group FX Allocation Report by gathering daily data from CBN/EFEMS and other sources for the Group Treasurer and GCFO.
    • Ensure timely updates on Banking Obligations reports.
    • Ensure DCP bank loan/import finance facility requests are processed within a week of authorization.
    • Resolve outstanding vendor unreconciled items with FAL and Vendor Team.
    • Collate outstanding FX obligations monthly.
    • Confirm bank balances quarterly with auditors and the account team.
    • Provide monthly and yearly cash flow forecasts to the Group CFO for investment and operational decisions.

    Educational Qualification and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related discipline.
    • Must have 12 - 15 years relevant work experience.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • Good knowledge and understanding of Treasury best practices, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards.

    Key Requirements:

    • Basic knowledge of accounting packages and systems, including SAP.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Good Organizational skills.
    • Good data gathering, analysis and problem solving skills
    • High ethical standards and integrity.
    • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
    • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
