Transport Planner at OnePyramid

JOB SUMMARY

• We are seeking a Transport Planner in the FMCG Industry who will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective dispatch of goods by managing pending orders, selecting suitable vehicles, and optimizing vehicle space utilization.
• This role requires close coordination with warehouses, transporters, and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient supply to customers and depots.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics operations, planning skills, and the ability to work under tight timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor all pending orders daily and plan transport accordingly.
• Ensure all customer and depot orders are dispatched within 24 hours of readiness.
• Maintain daily dispatch schedules and tracking reports
• Select the most suitable vehicle type based on order size, weight, and destination.
• Analyze the requirement versus available vehicle tonnage for optimum allocation.
• Maximize Vehicle Space Utilization (VSO) to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Maintain and update the VSO report daily.
• Provide regular updates to the management on dispatch performance, pending orders, and vehicle utilization.
• Ensure all transport planning activities are well-documented and auditable.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in transport planning or logistics operations
• Experience in vehicle routing and order management systems is an advantage
