JOB DESCRIPTION

• We are seeking a proactive and experienced Transport Manager to oversee and coordinate all Line Haul operations and fleet management activities within Kxpress. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient transportation operations, maintaining fleet compliance, coordinating timely deliveries, and managing transport personnel to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all Line Haul activities across assigned locations
• Oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of the entire fleet
• Ensure all vehicle documentation, licenses, permits, and insurance are valid and up to date
• Monitor and ensure timely delivery of all Line Haul items to designated locations
• Track fleet performance and implement measures to improve operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Supervise and support transport personnel to ensure high productivity and accountability
• Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate transport records
• Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth logistics operations
• Identify and resolve operational issues affecting transportation activities

Requirements

Educational Qualification

• A good first degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Professional Qualification

• Membership of relevant Logistics or Supply Chain professional bodies is an added advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years post-NYSC experience in a similar Transport or Logistics Management role

Age Requirement

• 25 – 45 years

Functional / Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Logistics Management and inventory control principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of SAP, Dynamics 365, Mercury, or related business applications
• Strong attention to detail
