Transaction Structuring & Project Risk Manager Location: Abuja Norrenberger Financial Group is seeking to hire a Transaction Structuring & Project Risk Manager who will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, and managing the risk of complex financial transactions across various sectors. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure transaction viability, compliance, and profitability, while identifying and mitigating associated project risks. This role is pivotal in supporting the firm’s investment initiatives and capital deployment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the structuring and execution of complex financial transactions including acquisitions, divestments, IPOs, PFI/PPP bids, group reorganisations, financial restructurings and strategic alliances.
• Design and implement transaction frameworks that optimize deal value while minimizing financial and operational risks.
• Direct and oversee due diligence processes covering financial, legal, operational, and market assessments.
• Manage enterprise risk assessments for transaction portfolios and design mitigation strategies aligned with business risk appetite.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with institutional investors, financial institutions, legal advisors, and regulatory agencies.
• Conduct and validate financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning to support strategic investment decisions.
• Provide regular risk reporting and escalate critical risks to senior leadership
• Ensure strict compliance with local and international financial regulations, governance frameworks, and risk controls.
• Support investment mobilization efforts by developing innovative financial products and engaging prospective capital partners.

Requirements

Educational Qualification & Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree, CFA, FRM, or a relevant risk or finance certification is an added advantage.

Knowledge & Professional Experience

•  Minimum of 5 years experience in transaction structuring, investment banking, or project finance roles.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, deal structuring, risk analysis, and valuation techniques.
• Demonstrated success in leading and closing high-value financial transactions.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance, governance standards, and enterprise risk frameworks.
