Trainee Associate - Arbitration and Maritime at Stren & Blan Partners

Role Description

• This is a full-time hybrid role for a Trainee Associate in Arbitration and Maritime located in Lagos, Nigeria.
• As a Trainee Associate, you will work closely with senior associates to carry out legal research, draft legal memoranda and briefs, and manage complex case files.
• You will also attend hearings and arbitration proceedings, as well as participate in settlement negotiations.
• While the majority of the work will be carried out in-house, some remote work is acceptable.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage time and workload.
• Understanding of arbitration and maritime law is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal research databases/software.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality work.
• Eligibility for call to the Nigerian Bar is required.
