Technical Procurement Lead at Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a results-driven Technical Procurement Lead to oversee the sourcing, negotiation and procurement of technical materials, equipment, spare parts and services. The role drives cost efficiency, ensures quality & compliance and builds strong supplier partnerships that support business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the sourcing and procurement of technical equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services.
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate favourable terms..
• Qualify, onboard and manage suppliers to
• ensure quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Draft and administer contracts, service agreements and supplier terms.
• Drive cost optimization through value engineering and strategic sourcing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Stores,
• Finance and Projects teams to meet business needs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and support audit and reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5-8 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Contract Management with strong focus on Technical or IT categories.
• Professional certification in CIPS, CPSP, CPSM, MCIPS is an added advantage.
• Strong technical specification reading
• and vendor evaluation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP/SAP or Oracle systems is an advantage.
