JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Graduate Trainee (Software Development) will undergo structured training and practical project exposure to build strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The role focuses on supporting the software engineering team by contributing to the design, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of applications while gaining experience in the MAXUT technology stack. The trainee will also be introduced to industry-standard tools, frameworks, agile practices, and secure coding standards, with the aim of transitioning into a full-time software development role within the organization
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Software Development & Execution
- Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in line with organizational coding standards.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of assigned features or modules.
- Gain hands-on experience in the MAXUT technology stack to support ongoing and new projects.
Best Practices & Continuous Learning
- Apply software engineering methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure scalable and reliable solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply learning to projects.
- Support integration and deployment activities as part of the DevOps lifecycle.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with senior developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to deliver project objectives.
- Collaborate with the QA team to resolve software defects and improve overall product quality.
- Provide support in reproducing and resolving customer-reported issues.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes clearly to relevant stakeholders.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all software development activities align with organizational security and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO, NDPR).
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of code, processes, and development activities.
- Follow organizational standards for version control, configuration management, and code security.
SKILL/ COMPETENCY REQUIRED
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and web/mobile application development.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to the MAXUT technology stack.
Knowledge of secure coding practices is an advantage.

- Ability to analyze problems, troubleshoot software issues, and propose effective solutions.
