Technical Design Engineer at Proforce Limited

Job Summary:

The Technical Design Engineer is responsible for creating, developing, and improving product designs, technical drawings, and specifications in line with project requirements and industry standards. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are functional, cost-effective, and manufacturable, while also addressing client needs and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models using CAD software.
• Interpret client requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet performance standards.
• Modify and update designs based on feedback, testing, or production challenges.
• Conduct design calculations and simulations to verify product performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, manuals, and design reports.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Provide technical input during supplier selection and manufacturing processes.
• Continuously improve existing designs to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and durability.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Design Engineer or in a similar technical engineering role.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
