Job Summary

• As our Tax Lawyer, you will be responsible for delivering expert legal advice on tax matters, representing clients in disputes with tax authorities, and ensuring full compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• This role is key to supporting both corporate and individual clients in navigating complex tax structures and optimizing tax strategies legally and ethically.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth tax advisory services, including corporate, personal, indirect, and international tax and research, interpret, and apply tax legislation, case law, and regulatory developments to client situations.
• Represent clients in negotiations and disputes with tax authorities, including attending hearings and preparing legal documentation and reviewing and drafting tax clauses in contracts, mergers, acquisitions, and investment agreements.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients and monitor changes in tax laws, and communicate implications to internal teams and clients.
• Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and reports on tax matters and conduct due diligence in corporate transactions with a tax lens.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B), BL qualification; LLM or professional tax certifications (e.g., CIOT, CITN) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-call experience practicing tax law in a top-tier law firm or corporate legal department.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal issues and provide clear, strategic advice.
