Systems Support / Network Engineer at Vitel Wireless Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Systems Support / Network Engineer to provide technical support, maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot IT issues, and ensure the smooth operation of the Company's IT systems.
• The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of relevant experience, good problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, routers, switches, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain network connectivity, including LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi.
• Assist with system updates, backups, security checks, and user account management.
• Diagnose and resolve network and system performance issues.
• Maintain IT asset records and documentation.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff.
• Liaise with external vendors/service providers when required.
• Perform other IT support and network-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Networking, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, or network support.
• Good understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and common business applications.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, and basic network configuration.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
