Systems Engineer at Biosec Solutions

Role Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure our systems operate efficiently and securely, while supporting business objectives through effective troubleshooting, optimization, system administration, technical support, and systems design on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Implementation

• Design and deploy IT systems, including servers, networks, and software solutions, aligned with business needs.
• Configure and integrate hardware, software, and operating systems.

System Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system security and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and address potential issues proactively.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support to end-users and escalate unresolved issues to specialized teams.

Network and Security Management

• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other network infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect organizational data and systems.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
• Prepare regular performance and usage reports with recommendations for improvement.

Optimization and Automation

• Identify opportunities to optimize IT systems for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement automated processes to streamline operations.

Collaboration and Training

• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate IT solutions with organizational workflows.
• Train employees on IT system usage and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, System Administration, Systems Design skills, or a related field. (Equivalent experience may be considered)

Experience:

• 4+ years in IT system engineering, administration, or a similar role

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in managing servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
