System Auditor at FCMB

Job Overview:

• FCMB Microfinance Bank is seeking a highly skilled System Auditor with over 5 years of experience in IT auditing within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will evaluate the reliability, security, and effectiveness of our IT systems, digital platforms, and core banking applications, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards, data protection laws, and internal control policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead audits of core banking systems, mobile and agency banking platforms, and IT infrastructure.
• Evaluate IT general controls (ITGCs), including access management, system development, and disaster recovery.
• Conduct audits of automated processes in digital lending, customer onboarding, and financial reporting systems.
• Assess compliance with CBN, NDPR, and other regulatory IT and cybersecurity standards.
• Identify system vulnerabilities and recommend remedial actions to address risk exposures.
• Collaborate with IT, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to improve overall system governance and security.
• Review third-party service providers for compliance with SLA terms and data security protocols.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and track the implementation of recommendations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or related field.
• Professional certification: CISA (mandatory), CISM, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of IT/System Audit experience in a financial institution or regulated entity.
• Strong knowledge of core banking software (e.g., BankOne, Temenos, Finacle).
• Familiarity with risk-based audit methodology, cybersecurity, and data protection principles.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
