Surface Preparation Technician / Abrasive Blaster at Marquise Energy Limited

Summary

• We are seeking qualified and experiencedto support industrial and oil & gas coating projects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out abrasive blasting and other surface preparation activities.
• Prepare surfaces to specified cleanliness and surface-profile requirements.
• Inspect prepared surfaces before coating application.
• Maintain blasting equipment and report defects or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, HSE requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions.

Key Requirements

• Relevant blasting/coating certifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surface preparation and industrial coating works.
• Experience with abrasive blasting, grit blasting and mechanical surface preparation.
• Knowledge of surface preparation standards such as Sa 2½, Sa 3, St 2 and St 3.
• Ability to operate and maintain blasting equipment safely.
• Experience preparing steel structures, pipelines, tanks and other industrial surfaces for protective coating.
• Ability to use surface profile gauges, DFT gauges and other inspection tools.
• Good knowledge of HSE requirements, PPE and safe work practices.
