Job Summary

• Promote the organization's procurement and supply policies and procedures to stakeholders.
• Take appropriate action to ensure internal customers and stakeholders comply with procedures.
• Encourage the behaviour and actions of colleagues and other stakeholders to be in keeping with ethical codes for procurement and supply.
• Explain the key aspects of corporate social responsibility that influence an organization, its suppliers, and its customers.
• Input data into systems to perform key tasks linked to placing orders and other transactions in procurement and supply.

Job Details

• Use ERP (SAP and GEP SMART where applicable) to perform key processes in procurement and supply.
• Explain to colleagues and other internal stakeholders the classifications of inventories supplied by the organization.
• Compare inventory management techniques and use appropriate techniques to manage inventories.
• Carry out the effective and efficient planning and control of inventories, such as by receiving, issuing, scheduling, Standardizing, and inspecting inventories.
• Explain how stores and warehouses can be designed to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the locations of inventories, inventory flow, and space utilization.
• Explain the use of materials handling equipment and palletisation and unit loads, packing and packaging, and automation in warehouse management.
• Check that documents used in the transportation of supplies are completed and authorized correctly.
• Ensure that deliveries are in line with documented requirements.
• Monitor levels of inventory and take actions to mitigate oversupply and minimize the risk of stockouts.
• Undertake expediting as a planned process to ensure the timely deliveries of goods or services purchased from suppliers.
• Take action to track deliveries and check relevant data and documentation.
• Use historical data to calculate forecasts of demand that can be communicated to suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrate personal knowledge, understanding, and capabilities to further the aims of procurement and supply.
• Take appropriate action with internal stakeholders to resolve any conflicts about differing priorities or requirements.
• Develop positive relationships with team members and other stakeholders, demonstrating behaviours consistent with a professional procurement and supply chain function

Requirements

• Minimum of Entry to 5 years of experience.
• CIPS – Completed level 4
