Supply Chain Officer at ColdHubs Limited

Job description

• Supports, the establishment of a complete fresh fruits, vegetables, and other perishable food, refrigerated transport services business.
• Negotiates, contracts with farmers, farmer cooperatives, wholesalers and retailers of fresh fruits, vegetables and others perishable food and their unions, to offer tailor made logistics solutions to them.
• Supervises, the pick-up and delivery of goods with a maximum per-delivery weight, to locations in its geographic range by refrigerated long haul trucks, offering both "less than a truck load" and "truck load" services.
• Supervises, the haulage of goods from the ColdHubs refrigerated warehouses in farms and aggregation centers, to ColdHubs in marketplaces or other distribution nodes.
• Supervises, online tracking information detailing the location of all GPS-tagged trucks and the status of deliveries, including expected arrival times for pick-up or delivery.
• Undertakes, phone support for all customer questions, delivery changes, and scheduling.
• Supports, the establishment and maintenance of customer services such as online accounts, regular schedules of shipping, or linking of customer order information directly to ColdHubs Logistics scheduling software to allow for seamless logistics.
• Supports, the recruitment of qualified and well-trained Drivers and their Assistants, with spotless records.
• Supports, the training and re-training of Drivers and their Assistants, in line with Drivers Training Manual.
• Supports, the allocation of routes, pick-up and delivery times to Drivers.
• Supports, the purchasing and handing over of all materials/equipment/supplies needed by Drivers and their Assistants to perform their duties.
• Performs, daily supervision/check-ins/calls with all Drivers and their Assistants.
• Collates and presents daily/weekly/monthly business report to management.
