    Supervisor, Medical Data Entry

    Job Description

    • Supervise, organise and plan the activity of Data Entry officers to have a reliable record of medical activity performed, as well as identify their training/technical support needs in order to provide a good service support and reliability of the data collected.
    • Ensure collation and entry of all data identified by project managers for collection (e.g., morbidity, mortality, surveillance of diseases of epidemics, nutrition, psychological and women’s health, etc) into the appropriate data management system while ensuring quality of data
    • Do quality control data officers’ performance on regular basis
    • Know and ensure proper use of software used for recording (i.e., Praxis, DHIS2, noma data base, Fuchia, Epi Info, etc.).
    • Ensure accuracy of the medical data entered into the mission’s database on a regular basis, according to MSF protocols and carry out regular back-ups.
    • Provide technical support to data entry officers/operators in project sites and give response to their training needs.
    • Provide regular statistical reports for the medical team as well as informing the superior of any missing information, major changes or big differences in data.

    Kano project is a multi-faceted project supporting three different facilities with 6 major components:

    • BeMONC activities in Garan Gamawa, Tudun Fulani and Unguwa Uku
    • ATFC activities in Tudun Fulani and Unguwa Uku
    • ITFC and NOMA in Unguwa Uku
    • MSF Academy training
    • Emergency response 
    • Ensure and supervise the weekly data entry into the praxis and ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of reports.
    • Ensure and supervise daily line listing of ITFC, NOMA and delivery cases regularly and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Ensure proper data entry and line listing of cases during outbreak response.
    • Ensure proper archiving of medical data.
    • Ensure medical data protection and privacy.
    • Responsible for management of medical stationery in the project, preparing quarterly order.
    • Active participation (analysis and feedback sharing) in monthly medical team meeting.
    • Train and coach data entry operators
    • Ensure accurate data collection and analysis, and reports for all activities are timely submitted.
    • Supervise and manage data entry officer (Duty roster, leave plan and individual appraisal).
    • Any other task that you may requested to carry out.
