The Sub-Contract Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, awarding, and administering sub-contract agreements for construction projects. The role ensures that sub-contractors are selected competitively, contracts are commercially sound, and project delivery requirements for cost, quality, safety, and timelines are met in line with Julius Berger’s standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, pre-qualify, and manage sub-contractors for construction works.
Prepare and issue RFQs/ITTs and coordinate tender processes.
Evaluate technical and commercial bids with project and QS teams.
Support contract negotiations, award recommendations, and documentation.
Administer sub-contract agreements and monitor compliance.
Collaborate with Project, Engineering, QS, HSE, and Finance teams.
Maintain procurement records and prepare status reports.
Education, Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
3–5 years’ experience in sub-contract procurement. Experience within the construction industry is an added advantage.
Good understanding of BOQs, drawings, and construction contract terms.
Strong negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/procurement systems is an advantage.
