    Structural Engineer - Compliance and Standardization

    Position Overview:

    As a Structural Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that all designs and drawings submitted by developers meet the planning and construction regulations of EACML. Your primary role will be to review, analyse, and approve plans, specifications, and designs for new developments and ensure they meet the required standards. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and technical support to the development team to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and analyse engineering designs, specifications, and drawings submitted by developers.
    • Ensure compliance with EACML's planning and construction regulations.
    • Conduct site visits and lab tests to verify that the construction is in line with the
    • approved plans and regulations.
    • Co-manage the Eko Atlantic testing lab, by extension of the above stated
    • Identify and provide solutions to design and construction issues that may arise during
    • the project.
    • Provide guidance and technical support to the development team to ensure
    • compliance with building codes and regulations.
    • Prepare reports and recommendations for the development team and management.
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the EACML team to ensure the overall
    • success of the development projects.

     

    • Requirements:

    Eko Atlantic City Management Company Ltd

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
    • Registration with COREN and The Institute of Structural Engineers
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, construction, or a
    • related field.
    • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other related software
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications i.e., Word; Excel; PowerPoint
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
