    Storekeeper

    Job Summary

    •  The storekeeper is responsible for overseeing the store's daily operations, ensuring the proper management and organization of stock, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role involves monitoring stock levels, receiving goods, and ensuring that items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner. The Store Keeper ensures that the store operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to smooth workflow within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate records of all stock items and their locations.
    • Track and update stock levels, ensuring accurate counts at all times.
    • Conduct regular stock takes and inventory checks.
    • Receive incoming goods and check them for quality and quantity against order forms.
    • Store items appropriately, ensuring easy accessibility and proper organization.
    • Ensure goods are stored in a manner that prevents damage.
    • Issue goods to relevant departments based on requisitions or approved requests.
    • Monitor stock movement and report discrepancies or shortages to management.
    • Keep a detailed log of stock entries and exits.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records for audits and reference.
    • Monitor stock levels and reorder items as necessary to avoid shortages.
    • Collaborate with purchasing or procurement departments to place orders.
    • Follow all safety procedures for the storage and handling of goods.
    • Ensure the work area remains clean and organized.

    Qualifications:

    • HND or OND in any field of study. 
    • Previous experience in storekeeping or warehouse management preferred.
    • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallect jacks, etc is an added advantage
