    Static & Rotating Equipment Engineer

    Overall Purpose of the Role

    • To provide technical engineering support for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability, and optimization of static and rotating equipment within plant operations, ensuring equipment integrity, safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide engineering support for static and rotating equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer facilities.
    • Perform technical assessment, troubleshooting, and reliability analysis of pumps, compressors, exchangers, pressure vessels, and related equipment.
    • Review and interpret P&IDs, Mechanical Data Sheets (MDS), equipment datasheets, specifications, and engineering drawings.
    • Develop and review equipment specifications, technical requisitions, datasheets, and vendor documentation.
    • Provide technical input into maintenance strategies, shutdowns, turnarounds, and modification projects.
    • Ensure equipment designs and maintenance activities comply with applicable API, ASME, ISO, and industry standards.
    • Liaise with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Process, and Project teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
    • Review vendor drawings, calculations, manuals, and technical documentation

    Key Equipment Exposure
    The successful candidate must have practical experience working with:
    Rotating Equipment:

    • Centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
    • Compressors
    • Mechanical seals and associated auxiliaries
    • Drivers, couplings, bearings, and lubrication systems
    • Rotating equipment alignment and troubleshooting

    Static Equipment:

    • Heat exchangers
    • Pressure vessels
    • Storage tanks
    • Piping and associated static components
    • Valves and mechanical equipment

    Required Technical Knowledge:

    • Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs and Mechanical Data Sheets (MDS).
    • Good understanding of equipment datasheets and mechanical specifications.
    • Knowledge of equipment inspection, maintenance, reliability, and troubleshooting.
    • Understanding of mechanical integrity and equipment reliability principles.
    • Familiarity with relevant API and ASME standards.
    • Ability to review engineering drawings, vendor documents, and technical reports.

    Mandatory Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
    • 6–10 years of relevant engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer facilities.
    • Proven hands-on experience with pumps and compressors.
    • Demonstrable experience with heat exchangers and other static equipment.
    • Strong knowledge of P&IDs, MDS, equipment datasheets, and mechanical specifications.
    • Experience working in plant operations, maintenance, projects, commissioning, or turnaround environments.
