Sponsorship Manager at Rovedana

Responsibilities

• Programme Execution and Management
• Develop initiatives to recruit new sponsors.
• Develop and maintain solid long-term relationships with sponsors.
• Identify granting agencies with potential to fund Yellow Cowries’ initiatives and work.
• Develop relationships with appropriate granting agencies.
• Draft sponsorship packages and grant applications for a variety of YC events and programs.
• Ensure that sponsorship packages and grant applications are complete, executed, and updated, when necessary, by required deadlines.
• Ensure that Yellow Cowries fulfills all of its sponsorship agreements obligations by obtaining all required information from sponsors such as contact information, corporate logos, banners and any other materials specified in the contract.
• Regularly review existing Yellow Cowries sponsorship agreements.
• Provide required reports, invoices and paperwork to internal and external stakeholders, as required and/or necessary.
• Maintain a suitable database of all sponsorship activity such as progress timelines and contract values.
• Attend meetings as required.

This position is full-time and requires some intra-city trips to develop and support the network of partners. Ultimately, the role holder will boost partners sign-on and contribute to the Yellow Cowries long-term business growth.

Sponsorship and Stakeholder Engagement

• Help to identify relevant stakeholders whom Yellow Cowries can engage for sponsorship and support the end-to-end development of sponsorship pipeline.
• Support the identification and engagement of the broad range of organisations for partnership on Yellow Cowries work and engagements.

General

• Ensure that target set in terms of number of partners and sponsors signed on are met.
• Prepare weekly reports of planned engagements and activities to enable the team achieve targeted growth objectives.
• Prospect and market YC products to meet schools and businesses and organisations needs.
• Negotiate & convince organisations, schools and businesses to adopt YC’s tools.
• Manage and deepen relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Aid in the identification of new programmes for existing markets or, new markets for existing programmes.
• Maintain and update all required reports and data into YC’s database.
• Manage and coordinate all administrative functions as it relates to the role functions and requirements.
• Take responsibility for own continuous professional development by proactively identifying and participating in formal/informal learning opportunities.
• Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager.
