Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each pupil’s unique needs.
• Create and deliver engaging, accessible, and differentiated lessons across core subjects.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Collaborate with general classroom teachers, teaching assistants, and therapists to support integrated learning.
• Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports.
• Utilize a range of teaching methods, assistive technologies, and adaptive resources to support learning.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding progress, challenges, and strategies for home support.
• Participate in professional development and stay updated on best practices in special education.
• Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and school policies at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in special Education. or a related field (English language is an advantage).
• Valid teaching certification/license with specialization in special needs education.
• Proven experience teaching children with diverse needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, physical impairments).
• Strong knowledge of inclusive education strategies, IEP development, and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to work with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
