Identify and work with learners with special educational needs.
Provide academic and behavioural support to learners identified to require additional support including reinforcing core academic subjects.
Collaborate/Liaise with teachers, parents, agencies, and a range of other professionals, such as behaviour technicians, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists.
Plan and schedule periodic meetings with relevant stakeholders to review support for SEND learners.
Monitor learners' progress and provide relevant documentation such as IEP, Progress Reports, Intervention trackers, etc.
Provide a safe and healthy environment and follow safeguarding procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
BEd. in Special Education
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
