    Sous Chef

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team and assist in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
    • The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high culinary standards, manage kitchen staff, and ensure the smooth flow of culinary operations.
    • The ideal candidate will bring creativity, culinary expertise, and strong leadership skills to contribute to the success of our culinary department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Food Preparation:

    • Supervise and participate in the preparation of a variety of dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
    • Assist in developing new recipes and menu items in collaboration with the Head Chef.

    Kitchen Management:

    • Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas, including storage, preparation, and service areas.

    Staff Supervision:

    • Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance culinary skills and maintain consistent food quality.

    Menu Execution:

    • Ensure timely and efficient execution of menu items during service periods.
    • Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage workloads and prioritize tasks.

    Quality Control:

    • Monitor food quality and presentation, addressing any issues promptly.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

    Inventory Management:

    • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control.
    • Minimize waste and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

    Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to plan and execute special events or promotions.
    • Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff for seamless service.

    Adherence to Standards:

    • Ensure compliance with all culinary and company standards.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.
    • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior culinary role.
    • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of diverse cuisines.
    • Leadership and team management experience.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
