Solutions Architect at Backbone Connectivity Network - BCN Nigeria

Role Description

• The Solutions Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja.
• This role is responsible for designing end-to-end technical solutions that leverage BCN Nigeria’s metro fiber, broadband, and unified communications offerings to meet client requirements.
• Day-to-day tasks include engaging with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, translating these into scalable solution architectures, and preparing technical proposals and design documentation.
• The Solutions Architect works closely with engineering and software development teams to ensure proper integration, implementation, and performance of solutions.
• Additional responsibilities include providing technical consulting, supporting pre-sales activities, conducting solution reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of architecture standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing scalable, secure, and reliable network and communication solutions.
• Consulting capabilities, with experience gathering requirements, facilitating technical discussions, and advising customers on best-fit solutions.
• Background in Software Development and Integration, with the ability to work with APIs, middleware, and enterprise systems.
• Understanding of Business Process analysis and optimization to align technical solutions with operational and strategic goals.
• Solid knowledge of telecommunications, metro fiber networks, broadband technologies, and unified communications platforms.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation, solution diagrams, and proposals for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and sales teams in a technology or telecom environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a collaborative working style.
