Solar Technician at Jubaili Bros Nigeria

Job Summary:

• To undergo technical operations on simple and complex systems and/or perform highly technical mechanical or diagnostic tests. May operate individually or among groups to diagnose, assess, repair, or maintain Company products, as per SLAs or as requested.

Responsibilities

• Maintains tools in good working condition and ensures functionality; and makes sure the tools are being used in the proper manner
• Ensures spare parts installment, replacement, and acquiring is based on the company standards and relevant policies and procedures
• Diagnoses equipment (Batteries, Solar panels, Electrical Components, etc.) maintenance needs based on scheduled and arising needs, and reports any potential issue that may not be scheduled, and completing site maintenance reports of the work done with generator status, to avoid preventable breakdowns from occurring.
• Measuring up areas for installation
• Making adjustments to building surfaces so panels fit and are adequately supported
• Installing and maintaining solar panels on homes, business premises or open land
• Connecting solar panels to an electrical system
• Conducts regular maintenance and modifications as requested, and report potential issues that involve high risk of failure or injury
• Liaises with cross-functional teams on technical operations that require involvement of several team members to ensure effectiveness
• Support the development of the team members through providing technical expertise
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation and reporting on planned assignments and duties, and pursues needed approvals for non-routine and ad-hoc assignments.
• Ensures the assembled/maintained equipment/item and the working area are left clean and organized periodically, and after work is completed.
• Listen to customers' inquiries, record their needs, suggestions, or complaints, provides them their invoices or other documents and reports to the senior.
• Performs other related assignments as requested.

Qualifications

• Electrical, or Technical Degree or Equivalent. (SSCE, OND, HND)
• 2 to 6 years experience within a similar industry.
