Solar PV System Designer & Site Engineer at ETC Workforce Services Limited

About the Role

• We are seeking a skilled Solar PV System Designer & Site Engineer to design high-quality solar PV systems and oversee their installation.
• This hybrid role combines office-based system design with hands-on field supervision to ensure technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with Nigerian standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct load assessments, size PV components, and develop layouts, string configurations, and single-line diagrams.
• Run simulations using PVsyst, Helioscope, and other design tools; prepare BOQs and schematics.
• Supervise installation teams, perform quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and assist with commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with NEMSA, SON/SONCAP, DISCO interconnection rules, and HSE standards.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and sales teams; provide client support and orientation.

Qualifications & Experience

• HND / B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• 2 – 5 years combined experience in solar PV design and site installation.
• Hands-on experience with inverter brands common in Nigeria (Deye, Victron, Growatt, etc.).
• Relevant certifications such as GIZ/NESP, REAN, SEI/GSES Africa, NEMSA, or SON awareness training are advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and electrical calculations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions and manage multiple sites.
