Training workmen in HSE protocols before work start, training workmen in work methods to be applied in site work and quality checks, managing workmen, machines & contractors. Troubleshooting issues at site, to ensure smooth operations.
Organizing Civil construction work as per construction planning, Construction drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensuring material and work quality as per Field Quality Plans (FQPs).
Co-ordinating with supply chain team to ensure material availability at site, carry out quantity surveys and maintain records, managing local structural fabrications and local logistics.
Managing structure erection as per structure assembly drawings.
Inspecting Contractors’ work and issuing work approval / rejection reports.
Requirements
HND / B.Sc in Civil / Structural Engineering.
5 - 7 years experience in civil or structural engineer
Must be willing to travel.
Sound technical knowledge and experience, preferably in Solar power projects.
Sound knowledge of construction equipment and construction planning.
A Hands-on engineer - Should be adept at handling Construction / inspection tools himself when needed.
A proven track record in industrial construction, preferably (but not necessarily) in power plant construction.
