    Software Tester/HelpDesk

    Location: Apapa, Lagos

    Job Summary

    Our client, a multinational shipping company, is looking to hire a Software Tester/Helpdesk to be responsible for running tests on software usability, analyzing results, reporting observations to the design team as well as providing customer service support to end-users.

    Job Responsibilities

    (Testing and QA)

    • Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios
    • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
    • Evaluate product code according to specifications
    • Executing tests on software usability
    • Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
    • Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team
    • Interacting with clients to understand product requirements
    • Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

    (Helpdesk)

    • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance
    • Quickly and accurately document caller's contact information, site, key data, and nature of problem in the ticketing system
    • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questioning
    • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
    • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
    • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
    • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
    • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
    • Follow-up and update customer status and information
    • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
    • Experience in IT Helpdesk/Customer Service
    • Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs
    • Background in software testing, debug and research/investigation of software issues
    • Ability to read software requirements and create written test plans
    • Working knowledge of programming, especially vb.net framework
    • Good understanding of Android testing
    • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
    • Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mind-set

    Salary

    Over N240,000 monthly GROSS in addition to annual bonus of over N750,000, premium medical care and other statutory benefits
