Software Developer Intern at Walex Biz Nigeria Limited

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code for applications or software components.
• Participate in the development of front-end, back-end, or full-stack features as required.
• Test applications to identify bugs and ensure functionality.
• Debug and resolve software issues under the guidance of senior developers.
• Write and update documentation for code, systems, and development processes.
• Prepare technical reports and summaries when required.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to deliver projects.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and agile sprints.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new programming languages, and tools.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, or webinars as directed.
• Contribute to ongoing projects by implementing assigned tasks.
• Provide suggestions to improve application performance or user experience.

Requirements

• SSCE Holders, OND/HND, BSC or anyone with drive for Tech.
• A self-motivated software developer intern with a passion for technology, programming, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
• Basic programming knowledge is an advantage
•  Must be living in  Abuja and readily available to be on-site
• Must be a fast learner and willing to work without pay.
• Excellent communication skills
•  Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to function in a corporate setting

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or others.
• Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, CSS, and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
• Understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and basic CRUD operations.
• Exposure to version control systems like Git.
