    Software Developer (Full Stack)

    Role Description:

    • The Software Developer (Full Stack) will design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and internal systems that support NUTM’s academic and administrative operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing front-end user interfaces, building and optimizing back-end services and APIs, integrating third-party tools, and ensuring application security, scalability, and performance
    • . The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose technical solutions, review code, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
    • This is a full-time hybrid role based in Lagos, with a combination of on-campus work and approved work-from-home arrangements.

    Qualifications

    • Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
    • Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
    • Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful APIs, working with databases (SQL/NoSQL), and implementing secure, scalable server-side logic.
    • Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for full-stack development.
    • Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD practices, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms is highly beneficial.
    • Ability to write clean, maintainable code, perform code reviews, and collaborate effectively in a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience); prior experience in an academic or edtech environment is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to learning and applying new technologies to support NUTM’s mission.
