    Software Developer / Engineer

    Location: Omu-Aran, Kwara

    Responsibilities

    • The role is responsible for designing, developing and modifying software and web apps, from layout to final production ready state and according to requirement specifications.

    The software developer/Engineer day to day activities will include:

    • Reviewing current systems
    • Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
    • Working closely with analysts, designers and staff
    • Producing detailed specifications and writing the programme codes
    • Preparation of training manuals for users in conjunction with the QA & Product Support Assistant Maintaining the systems once they are up and running. PHP, JQuery, HTML[5]+CSS, Mobile Apps Development.

    Job Description

    • Develop Web Content Management System
    • Writing programs to handle the collection, manipulation and distribution of data for a wide variety of applications and requirements;
    • Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
    • Support in training of departmental staff members
    • Create Custom Application web site
    • Web Infrastructure support
    • Selected University Electronic Communications
    • Web Publishing Policies

    Requirements

    • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering.
    • At least a BSc./ HND in Computer Science or other related fields.
    • At least 3 years experience developing softwares and web apps in a wide variety of language.
    • Ability to understand and create project briefs.
    • Ability to accurately estimate the scope and effort required to deliver complex technical projects Significant, demonstrated ability to develop and maintain complex solutions.
    • Project experience in the following development methodologies: Application design patterns, OOP/object-oriented development approach,
    • Use of platform extensions, industry librariesn and Industry-related knowledge of browser client development: HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery.
    • Understanding of browser compatibility issues and platform characteristics.
    • Knowledge of at least one modern PHP Framework
