Software Developer at Aptech Computer Education

Location: Lakowe, Lagos

Responsibilities

• Teach and train students in software development concepts, tools, and programming languages (Frontend & Backend).
• Prepare and deliver course materials, notes, assignments, and projects.
• Guide students through hands-on practical sessions and real-life coding tasks.
• Conduct assessments, tests, and grading.
• Stay up to date with emerging programming trends, frameworks, and technologies.
• Participate in academic meetings, training sessions, and seminars.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum of HND / BSc in a relevant discipline.
• Experience: 2 - 5 years of experience in software development or IT training.
• Teaching or training experience in IT institutions is a plus.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, or PHP.
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and backend technologies (Node.js, Express, Django, etc.).
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and version control (Git/GitHub).
• Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills.
• Ability to mentor and motivate students.
