About the Role

• Data-Lead Africa is seeking a creative, proactive, and enthusiastic Social Media Manager & Content Creator Intern to support our digital marketing efforts. The successful candidate will help create engaging content, manage social media platforms, and contribute to growing our online community. This internship offers practical experience in content creation, social media management, digital marketing, and brand communication.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

• Design engaging graphics and visual content for social media.
• Create and edit short-form videos, reels, and stories.
• Write compelling captions and social media copy.
• Develop content aligned with Data-Lead Africa's brand and programs.

Social Media Management

• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms.
• Monitor engagement and interact with followers professionally.
• Identify emerging social media trends and content opportunities.
• Support community growth and audience engagement initiatives.

Marketing & Communications Support

• Assist with promoting training programs, events, and workshops.
• Support social media campaigns and digital marketing activities.
• Conduct competitor and industry research.
• Contribute ideas to improve online visibility and engagement.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube).
• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience managing personal, school, volunteer, or business social media accounts is an advantage.
