We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and help us secure funding for critical global health development projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing grant funding from a variety of public, private, and philanthropic sources. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing our organization's overall fundraising strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and research potential funding opportunities
Conduct thorough research to identify potential funders whose priorities align with Sproxil's mission and programs
Build and maintain relationships with key contacts at funding institutions
Track grant deadlines and stay up-to-date on current funding trends in global health
Develop and manage proposals
Lead the development of compelling and high-quality proposals that effectively address the needs of potential funders
Manage the proposal development process from start to finish, ensuring that all deadlines are met
Collaborate with program staff to ensure that proposals are technically sound and aligned with our organization's strategic goals
Negotiate and manage grants
Negotiate grant agreements with funders to secure the best possible terms for our organization
Manage awarded grants, ensuring that we comply with all reporting and financial requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with funders throughout the grant lifecycle.
Contribute to the development and implementation of our organization's fundraising strategy
Work with the CEO to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
Identify and develop new fundraising initiatives.
Track and analyze fundraising data to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
A Degree in Public Health, International Development, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising, preferably in the global health sector
Proven track record of success in securing funding from a variety of public, private, and philanthropic sources
Strong understanding of the global health landscape and current funding trends, especially for projects linked to the African continent
Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for global health and a commitment to improving the lives of others
