SME Loan Officer at Boctrust Microfinance Bank

Job Description

• Actively source and develop new SME loan business relationships.
• Conduct market research and identify potential SME clients within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential SME clients.
• Analyse loan applications, assess creditworthiness of SME borrowers, and prepare loan recommendations.
• Conduct thorough financial and business viability assessments of SME businesses.
• Prepare comprehensive loan documentation, including credit memos and loan agreements.
• Monitor loan performance and ensure timely loan repayments.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress of SME businesses.
• Identify and mitigate potential loan risks.
• Manage loan portfolios effectively to minimise delinquency and maximise returns.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant loan policies and procedures.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an SME Loan Officer in the microfinance industry.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment principles and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
