Site Engineer at Trucrete Solutions Limited

Role Description

• This is a contract based on-site role located in Lagos for a Site Engineer at one of our project site in Lagos State. The Site Engineer will be responsible for on-site activities, quality control, communication with project stakeholders, and overseeing structural and civil engineering aspects of projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise construction activities to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor work to ensure compliance with specifications and timelines.
• Interpret construction drawings and plans and ensure proper implementation on-site.
• Liaise with project managers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Communicate daily progress and issues to project managers.
• Maintain daily site logs, including labor, materials, and equipment used.
• Report and document progress, issues, delays, and variations.
• Forecast material and resource requirements and coordinate procurement.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years in a similar role within construction, preferably in infrastructure or commercial/residential building projects.
• Strong Communication skills
• Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering knowledge
• Experience in construction site supervision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
