Server and Network Administrator at ITEX Integrated Services Limited

Role Summary

• The post holder will be responsible for administering and maintaining end user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Manage and maintain the company network. Manage servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment and ensure network is in working order. Run security tests, system back-up and recovery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade the company’s Linux and Windows servers.
• Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
• Keep an eye out for needed updates.
• Support and administer third-party applications.
• Ensure network security and connectivity.
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
• Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
• Resolve problems reported by end-user.
• Define network policies and procedures.
• Specify system requirements and design solutions.
• Research and make recommendations on server system administration.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science or related field
• Two to five years’ experience in Network Administration
• Linux Certification
• Azure Web Service certification
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) CISCO
• IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
• Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols
• Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware.
• Ability to solve problems and think critically.
