Senior Systems Administrator (Managed Enterprise) / Senior IT Support Engineer at Jireh Technologies Ltd

Role Summary

• Provide full-stack managed services support for enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, hybrid cloud, storage, databases, backups, security, and enterprise software platforms. This role requires managing a complex multi-vendor environment (HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, Oracle, VMware) and delivering high-availability support through both on-site operations and escalation coordination with remote and base office support.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Multi-vendor server hardware maintenance (HPE, Dell, Lenovo), VMware ESXi cluster management, BladeSystem configurations, and enterprise SAN/NAS provisioning.
• Expertise in Windows Server (2016+), Active Directory, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, and UNIX platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure administration, M365 suite, hybrid AD identity synchronization, and cloud networking (VPN/ExpressRoute).
• Operational knowledge of Oracle Database (11g+) and MS SQL Server (2016+), including tablespace management, schema structures, and basic tuning.
• Experience with HP Data Protector, enterprise media management, ISO 27001 frameworks, vulnerability mitigation, and OS hardening.
• Applied knowledge of ITIL Incident, Change, and Problem Management frameworks, along with root cause analysis (RCA) and performance tuning.

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer ~100 Windows Server (2016+) Active Directory environments, RHEL/UNIX systems, and core network roles (DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V, GPO).
• Maintain data center computer hardware (HPE, Dell, Lenovo, VMware ESXi) and 150TB+ SAN/NAS storage arrays (HPE Alletra/3PAR, NetApp, EMC).
• Manage backup operations using HP Data Protector (v6+) and drive capacity planning.
• Support Microsoft Azure resources and M365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, hybrid Azure AD sync).
• Maintain Oracle (11g+) and MS SQL Server (2016+) databases and core enterprise applications (Forcepoint, Equitrac).
• Execute patch management, software upgrades, OS hardening, and maintain ISO 27001 security compliance.
• Deliver 24/7 proactive monitoring, incident management, and change control using an ITIL-aligned service desk.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B.Sc/B.Engr./B.Tech/HND in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years supporting 24/7 enterprise data centers and hybrid environments.
• Certifications: Microsoft (Azure/M365 Admin), VMware/OEM Hardware Certifications, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) and ITIL Certification.
