    Senior Quantity Surveyor

    Professional Summary

    • A highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor with over 15 years of progressive experience in the Nigerian real estate and property development sector, providing expert cost management, estimation, procurement, and contract administration services for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Demonstrates proven ability in cost control, value engineering, and risk management, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and to exceptional quality standards. Adept at leading cross-functional teams, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-value developments in both private and public sectors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage cost planning, feasibility studies, and value management for large-scale real estate and infrastructure projects.
    • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), preliminary cost estimates, and tender documentation in line with Nigerian Standard Method of Measurement (NSMM).
    • Manage the tendering and procurement process, including bid evaluation and contract award recommendations.
    • Administer contract documents (FIDIC, JCT, or local contract forms) ensuring compliance with project and legal requirements.
    • Conduct cost control, valuation of work done, and assessment of variations throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Handle post-contract financial management, including interim valuations, payment certifications, and final accounts.
    • Advise clients on cost-effective design alternatives, value engineering options, and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Oversee cash flow forecasting, budget monitoring, and financial reporting for projects valued up to ₦20 billion and above.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and developers to ensure commercial and design objectives are aligned.
    • Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, promoting technical excellence and professional growth.

    Key Achievements

    • Successfully delivered over 30 real estate and commercial projects with individual project values ranging from ₦500 million to ₦20 billion, including high-rise residential towers, mixed-use complexes, and shopping centres.
    • Achieved an average of 10–15% cost savings through effective value engineering and strategic procurement.
    • Championed the adoption of digital cost management tools (such as CostX, Candy, and BIM 5D) to improve cost reporting accuracy and project efficiency.
    • Developed and sustained strong client and stakeholder relationships, contributing to repeat business and long-term partnerships.
    • Recognized for leadership excellence and outstanding cost management on high-value, time-sensitive real estate projects.
