    Senior Project Engineer

    Tasks

    • The Snr Project Engineer will be a member of the NLNG Asset Projects organisation that support the development and execution of Greenfield and Brownfield projects for the NLNG Production Assets and Non-plant Assets.
    • The Project Engineer will lead the delivery of multiple projects in the overall Portfolio.
    • Each Project ranges in size and complexity from small, single discipline projects to large, multi-discipline, multi-year projects.
    • The Snr Project Engineer will be responsible for accepting handover of projects from the Front-End Development Team at DG2+ (Concept Select) and lead Basis for Design, FEED, detail design, procurement, construction, and commissioning up to RFSU and close-out. 

    Main Accountabilities

    • Execution of an assigned group of projects, including prioritizing, resourcing projects and securing approval for budget and expenditure in line with the business plan
    • Development of individually assigned projects to meet milestone targets in Define, Execute, Construction, and Commissioning in line with the overall progress of the opportunity
    • Work closely with Asset and Project stakeholders to ensure that projects remain aligned with critical success factors, boundary conditions, and value drivers
    • Adhere to NLNG HSSE standards, ORS, PMF, and deliver within budget, schedule, and quality requirements,
    • Ensure regulatory requirements are in line with the permits and consents plans.
    • Provide visible HSSE leadership on assigned projects as well as the overall NLNG Portfolio
    • Proactively encourage a close working relationship between NLNG project team, the selected contractor(s) and the wider NLNG organization
    • Drive implementation in assigned projects in the areas of competitive scoping, target costing, standard solutions, replication, and fit-for-purpose technologies
    • Participate in and actively support the NLNG Cost Transformation journey, driving year on year improvements in project delivery cost.
    • Participate and actively support the NLNG Digitalization journey, driving implementation of new technologies that would delivery performance and ensure new assets are future-ready.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at Second Class Lower Division (2.2) and above.
    • Minimum of 7 years’ post-graduation experience in projects especially in the execution of complex multi-disciplinary projects
    • Previous experience with brownfield projects in the oil and gas industry preferably within a Project Engineering role, is considered an asset.
    • Previous experience in Front End Development (Opportunity Framing, Competitive Concept Identification & Selection, Basis for Design), is not a requirement but is considered an asset.
