Senior Production Engineer at SC Johnson (SCJ)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safety of others within the work environment.
• Follow and adhere to all SCJ and Local Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and is duty bound to stop unsafe acts and report unsafe practices.
• Ensure the efficient operation of the Production departments.
• Optimise manufacturing processes, productivity and purchasing efficiencies to achieve company targets and key performance indicators (KPI’s) in the areas of production scheduling, product costs, quality, inventory levels, factory costs and efficiencies.
• Esure high standards of housekeeping are maintained in the plant and conform to SCJ SHE standards.
• Ensure plant and equipment are maintained as per the Global requirements.
• Control Supply Chain budget.
• Train and lead department in continuous improvement efforts to reduce set up times and improved quality goals.
• Ensure and maintain a stable industrial relations climate within the Supply Chain.
• Create an environment of continuous improvement through empowerment, education and training.
• Maintain and enforce effective financial and internal controls in order to achieve zero audit finding. Full compliance with Government Regulations and Corporate Policies.
• Assist and support maintenance programmes to ensure increased asset reliability.
• Develop a sense of belonging by creating a workplace that encourages high involvement and maximises the capabilities of team and individuals.

Experience you will bring:

• Minimum of a B.Tech in Production Management or Engineering, a BSc Degree preferably in Production, Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum of 5years’ plant experience in FMCG environment. Preferably Aerosol manufacturing.
• Proven record of operational success or related business success.
• Above average computer literacy.
