Senior Product Manager - Agency at KingMakers

About the role

• As Senior Product Manager - Agency, you will own and shape the product experience that supports KingMakers’ agency network across Nigeria. 
• You will be responsible for improving the platforms, tools, and experiences used by agents, cashiers, and retail customers every day.
• Working closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, Commercial teams, and frontline users, you will identify opportunities, solve customer and business challenges, and deliver impactful product improvements that drive efficiency, engagement, and growth.
• This role is ideal for a customer-focused Product Manager who enjoys solving complex problems, using data and insights to make decisions, and building products that create meaningful outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
Own the Agency Product Experience:

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Agency domain, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Build a deep understanding of agents, cashiers, and retail customers to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Spend time close to users and frontline operations to understand real challenges and translate insights into product opportunities.
• Continuously improve the usability, efficiency, and effectiveness of Agency products and experiences.

Drive Product Discovery & Delivery:

• Identify, prioritise, and validate opportunities that create meaningful customer and business impact.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Commercial teams to deliver solutions from discovery through launch.
• Define success metrics and use data, feedback, and experimentation to guide product decisions.
• Balance short-term operational needs with longer-term product strategy.

Improve Agency Platforms & Operations:

• Own and evolve the Agency Portal and supporting operational tools.
• Support improvements to agent workflows, commission frameworks, reporting capabilities, and retail experiences.
• Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and unlock new growth opportunities.

Champion Data, Experimentation & AI-Enabled Product Management:

• Use customer insights, analytics, and evidence to make informed product decisions.
• Experiment with new approaches and validate ideas before scaling solutions.
• Leverage AI tools to improve research, analysis, documentation, and product delivery workflows.
• Encourage practical AI adoption within the product team.

Drive Outcomes & Collaboration:

• Track key Agency metrics and focus on measurable improvements rather than simply delivering features.
• Influence and collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Commercial teams.
• Help build a culture of ownership, curiosity, speed, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience working in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Operations, or a similar role focused on solving customer and business problems.
• Experience contributing to the development and improvement of digital products, platforms, or operational solutions.
• Strong customer mindset with the ability to understand user needs and translate insights into meaningful product improvements.
• Analytical approach with the ability to use data, customer feedback, and business insights to support decision-making.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Design, Operations, and Commercial teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, navigate ambiguity, and prioritise opportunities based on customer and business impact.
• Curious and proactive mindset, with a willingness to challenge assumptions, experiment, learn, and continuously improve.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive outcomes.

Additional / Nice to Have:

• Experience building products for retail, agency, marketplace, fintech, payments, logistics, telco, gaming, betting, or other operationally complex environments.
• Experience working with Nigerian customers, emerging markets, or large-scale consumer platforms.
• Experience building products or tools used by agents, merchants, partners, or frontline operational teams.
• Experience owning a product area, platform, or roadmap end-to-end.
• Experience using AI tools to improve product discovery, research, analysis, documentation, or day-to-day productivity.
• Experience with experimentation, customer research, and validating ideas before scaling solutions.
• Understanding of retail operations and customer journeys.
